LONDON:The British health regulator has granted its rejection of a proposed new weight loss drug called Orlistat. The British Medical Journal has contacted the regulator, who said the drug's label does not mention the drug's active ingredients.
Orlistat is a medicine which contains an active ingredient called Xenical. The agency has rejected the drug, saying it contains no active ingredient at all, and is not a controlled substance.
Orlistat has been approved by the FDA for use in adults over the age of 18.
